Update since Meeting 3

Follow up on Action Items from Meeting 3

SCM forcing files

I am happy to say that the complete set of Indian Ocean SCM forcing files, v2.0, are now available for use, spanning 11-Aug-2016 to 10-Sep-2016.

Since v1.0 I have corrected a critical bug in the surface fields (impacting surface forcing fields as well as diagnostics such as precipitation - my apologies) and have added extra variables requested by Xia and Kathryn and the DTC team, before extending the coarse graining to the whole 30-day window.

The files can be found in the usual place in the v2.0 subfolder in the swift mumip directory:

Leverhulme Trust funding update

The Leverhulme Trust funding, which will facilitate simulations with the IFS, MetUM and Météo France SCMs, has been delayed to start in July 2023, once HC returns from maternity leave.

MU-MIP contact

Judith has very kindly agreed to act as primary contact until July 2023 while HC is on leave.
