Head of Atmospheric Processes and Parametrizations
Met Office
Keith heads the Atmospheric Processes and Parametrizations group at the Met Office. The group is responsible for the representation of physical processes within Met Office’s weather and climate model, including to represent the atmospheric boundary layer, clouds and microphysics, radiative transfer in the atmosphere, convection, orographic processes and surface processes. However, these schemes are not perfect and a key scientific challenge is how to represent uncertainties in the formulation within the modelling system.
